donkey wheel house is a heritage listed building located on the west end of Bourke Street in Melbourne, near Southern Cross station. Completed in 1891, it was originally known as the Melbourne Tramway and Omnibus Company (MT&OC) building.  It was purpose built as their head office at the height of Victoria’s boom in the 1880s.  It was designed in the Venetian Gothic style and stood as an overt expression of prosperity. The venue is great, close to all public transport and good coffee.
