Superfood Cacao Paleo Smoothie

I can’t take all the credit for this little ripper ‘cos my super smooth chef Jasmine (a.k.a. Jazzy Pops) did all the work, but she insisted I call it this so here it is. We have one of these every morning to break the Paleo Intermittent Fasting 16 hour fast. It’s packed full of everything a chef could need for a long hot stint in the kitchen. 

1 handful organic kale, washed and dried
1/2 cup assorted berries of your choice
1 coconut – water only, save the flesh for making coconut yoghurt
2 teaspoons ground chia seeds
1 teaspoon mesquite
1 teaspoon maca powder
1 tablespoon protein powder – we use a local called Ezy Protein Powder available here
1 teaspoon cacao

  • Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until completely smooth
  • Add a little ice if desired
